Parks and Recreation in The Woodlands
Fundamental to George Mitchell’s vision for The Woodlands was his desire to preserve the trees, the wildlife and the outdoor ecosystem in order to create an urban environment with a rural feel. Today, residents can walk, run or cycle for miles on shaded paths, play all manner of sport on dedicated sports fields and courts, canoe in the lakes and waterways, swim and slide in the pools and parks, play 18 holes on manicured greens, catch some air at the bike and skate parks, or let their four-legged friends tire themselves out at one of the many dog parks. Below we have included links to some of the best resources to help you discover the more than 130 parks and other recreational facilities available in The Woodlands.
